Discover the rich history of the Palace of Fine Arts, designed by the renowned architect Victor Horta.
An iconic place where art, culture, and architecture come together.

A remarkable modernist creation by Victor Horta.

The Palace of Fine Arts in Brussels, located on the Coudenberg, is one of Belgium’s most important cultural landmarks. Designed by the renowned Belgian architect Victor Horta (1861–1947), the building marks a significant turning point in his career.

After World War I and a stay in the United States, Horta moved away from his flamboyant, industrial Art Nouveau style and embraced a more monumental and geometric formal language, typical of Art Deco. The inauguration of the Palace in 1928 stands as tangible proof of this aesthetic transformation.

The Palace was the first building in Europe to bring together all artistic disciplines under one roof, with the aim of making art accessible to everyone — free of elitist barriers. It is precisely this philosophy that inspired chef Karen Torosyan in opening his restaurant, where he pairs timeless flavours with exceptional craftsmanship.

In 2010, the Palace was fully restored, with great respect for Horta’s original plans. Today, this magnificent Art Deco jewel offers the perfect setting for a unique cultural and culinary experience.

A place where art and craftsmanship
enhance and elevate one another.

Located in the heart of Brussels’ Palace of Fine Arts — an iconic masterpiece by architect Victor Horta — Bozar Restaurant is far more than just a setting: it is a true source of inspiration. Here, the timeless elegance of Art Deco meets the meticulous craftsmanship of Karen Torosyan.

Natural light, clean lines, and noble materials — wood, leather, and warm tones — evoke the spirit of the great Parisian brasseries, while creating a unique atmosphere that is both refined and vibrant. This décor, at the crossroads of tradition and modernity, echoes the chef’s culinary philosophy: honouring ancestral techniques while embedding them in a contemporary vision.

Within this space dedicated to art and culture, each dish becomes a creation in dialogue with its surroundings. The fluid rhythm of the service, the transparency of the open kitchen, and the harmony of flavours reflect the spirit of the place — a space where gastronomy and culture nourish one another.

At Bozar, time, space, and taste come together to create a truly unique experience.

Working here is a privilege:
to live and breathe this architecture and atmosphere each day,
