Our Story – Bozar Restaurant Brussels
History
Discover the rich history of the Palace of Fine Arts, designed by the renowned architect Victor Horta.
An iconic place where art, culture, and architecture come together.
A remarkable modernist creation by Victor Horta.
The Palace of Fine Arts in Brussels, designed by Victor Horta, is a masterpiece of modernist architecture. Inaugurated in 1928, this remarkable building marked a turning point in the career of the renowned Belgian architect who, after a stay in the United States, moved away from Art Nouveau in favour of a more refined, geometric, and decidedly Art Deco style.
Conceived from the outset as a space open to all artistic disciplines, the Palace stands as a manifesto for culture made accessible to all, without barriers or elitism. This profoundly humanist vision still resonates today.
It is in this spirit that Karen Torosyan chose to establish his restaurant there. In 2010, the building underwent a complete restoration, faithful to its original plans. Today, this architectural gem hosts a dining experience where craftsmanship meets the creative drive of contemporary cuisine.
A perfect setting for
Karen Torosyan, where creativity,
authenticity, and innovation come together.
A place where art and craftsmanship
enhance and elevate one another.
Located in the heart of Brussels’ Palace of Fine Arts — an iconic masterpiece by architect Victor Horta — Bozar Restaurant is far more than just a setting: it is a true source of inspiration. Here, the timeless elegance of Art Deco meets the meticulous craftsmanship of Karen Torosyan.
Natural light, clean lines, and noble materials — wood, leather, and warm tones — evoke the spirit of the great Parisian brasseries, while creating a unique atmosphere that is both refined and vibrant. This décor, at the crossroads of tradition and modernity, echoes the chef’s culinary philosophy: honouring ancestral techniques while embedding them in a contemporary vision.
Within this space dedicated to art and culture, each dish becomes a creation in dialogue with its surroundings. The fluid rhythm of the service, the transparency of the open kitchen, and the harmony of flavours reflect the spirit of the place — a space where gastronomy and culture nourish one another.
A place where the entire team works simply to offer you a beautiful moment, carried by the spirit of the house.
Working here is a privilege:
to live and breathe this architecture and atmosphere each day,
and to draw inspiration from it — the kind that brings us together.
